    Bug when rewinding Market Replay

    If you are running market replay with a strategy on the chart, it will remove the strategy if you 'rewind' the replay with the strategy Enabled = False.

    Thank you for the report.

    Can you verify you're on latest NinjaTrader beta? Check with Help > About - should be 7.0.23

    Can you try this with the Sample Moving Average crossover strategy?

    Please let us know if you see the same thing and if there are any error messages in the log tab of the control center.

      Yes, it happens with your sample strategy. There are no errors in the log. Test like this:

      Set up a chart with the TF instrument. Connect to market replay -- I set my to start and end on 10/20/2010. Select the strategy and enable it on the chart. Move the replay to the end of the day. Open the strategy and set Enabled = False and click OK. Move the replay back to the beginning of the day. The strategy is removed from the chart when it repaints.

      Oh, and yes I am using 7.0.0.23.

        Thank you for the reply, cassb. This is expected with rewinding market replay. When you rewind, this resets the Replay101 account. When you reset an account, it will remove strategies that are not currently enabled.

          It doesn't just disable the strategy, it completely removes it from the chart. That is not desirable behavior.

            Correct - thank you for the clarification. If the strategy is disabled it is removed during a market replay rewind. I understand you don't find this behavior desirable. Unfortunately it is expected.

              I have also reported this problem. If you check my threads you will find a video of this behavior.

                And in my video you will see that the strategy that was removed was ENABLED .. and the market replay STILL removed it. This is not expected behavior and is not desirable.

                Also there is another issue when you rewind. SOMETIMES the candles fail to update on the chart (yes I have replay data) ..and to solve you need to "rewind" again ... just a little ..even 1 or two minutes ...just move the rewind bar...and then the candles then draw on the chart...

                If you clcik the play button when the candle pain has failed ..you will get exceptions.. Bertrand should be aware of this from my strategy tests.. This problem is not resolved..I simply stopped complaining about it..

                So there are bugs here.

                  Hello mjc4118,

                  The distinction between your issue and the original post is whether the strategies are enabled or not. Can you please try this using the SampleMovingAverage crossover and let us know if you see the same thing?
