    Duplicate Sim Accounts

    Version 7 b23.

I noticed in the release notes that a "migration from 6.5 caused duplicate Sim101 and Replay accounts" bug was fixed. I currently have duplicate Sim101, Replay and other sim accounts. How do we get rid of the duplicate accounts? ( I migrated to version 7 several builds back ) I would prefer not to loose the contents of the sim accounts that I created from version 7.

    thanks

    Hello shawnj,

I suggest to create a backup file first to save the trade history of the sim101 account.

Can you please go to Control Center-->Tools-->Options-->Simulator-tab. Click the Accounts button and remove duplicated accounts.

Subsequently, generate reports and check if sim101 trade history is saved.

There are no duplicates at Control Center-->Tools-->Options-->Simulator-tab. Click the Accounts button.

The duplicates I see are under Account Performance then expand Advanced then in the Accounts list I have multiple duplicates.

      thanks,

Unfortunately these cannot be removed unless you rename the database, but this will clear all trade history.

While NinjaTrader is closed, please go to (My) Documents-->NinjaTrader 7-->db and rename the 'NinjaTrader'(sdf) file to 'NinjaTrader.Old'. Start NinjaTrader and a brand new database is created automatically.

Thanks Jason. I thinks it's time for me to restart clean with version 7 rc1. If I understand the release notes, there is an issue with zen fire accounts and filtered/unfilted data. The note says to recreate zen-fire account. If I rename the database will that also destroy my zen-fire account broker. I apparently need to recreate it anyway.

Could you spell out the recommended way to recreate the zen-fire account to make sure the connection is to an unfiltered connection?

          thanks,
          shawnj

Renaming your database would not impact the Account Connection you have created for Zen-Fire as that is stored in an xml file instead of the database. You would instead want to recreate the connection in the Tools>Account Connections dialogue. Just remove the old one, and add a new one.
