    shorts showing as longs on demo 'account performance'

    Been demo trading today and feel like im cracking up! lol nt7

    Every time I place a trade on the 6b is shows as a long trade on the account performance, even if it was actually a short trade.


    As an experiment i just went SHORT at market this second and closed it instantly at market
    the bid ask spread was 1.5810 x 1.5812
    In the account performance, this trade says:
    LONG 6B ENTRY 1.5811 EXIT 1.5810 PROFIT -$11

    i've pressed the 'flatten everything' button earlier in case i had a demo position on that id forgotten about.

    Any ideas?

    OK, I just shut ninjatrader down and restarted it again, and now it's behaving properly and short trades show up as shorts
    (although the shorts that i made before restarting are still showing as long trades and are obviously wrong)

      Hello,

      Just so that I understand correctly the issue is only in the account performance. When you placed the trade the PnL and Position was showing correct in the superDOM or chart its only when you goto the Account performance page it shows incorrect?

        Correct.
        the chart trader/PNL all made sense at the time.
        Showed that I was short and making, say, 5 ticks.
        Then I close it, go to the account performance, and it would show a losing, LONG trade.

        Like i said, i restarted ninjatrader and it seems to be fine now.
