News questions

1) Provider list is empty at me. Why?
How can I add providers from which I can download News items?

2) Please explain how News window linking works.
I understand the concept, at least for all the other windows.
But for News windows it is not unequivocal for me.

Thank you for your post.

1. Can you please tell me what data provider you are connected to within NinjaTrader 7.

2. When linked if you enter a new symbol within the chart lets say GOOG the News window will then Filter alerts for that specific instrument if there are any as seen in the attached screen shot.

1) It was simulation.
If I select PFGBEST, I only see Default.
So How can I add providers from which I can download News items?

In order to have access to providers when creating Alerts or Filters you will be required to connect and subscribe to a data provider that offers real time news which unfortunately PFG does not.
