Automatically scaling the vertical axis works weird on long term chars

Automatically scaling the vertical axis works great if chart trader is off.
However, if you turn it on, and even if scaling is based only on screen data, the scaling is screwed because NinjaTrader wants to show your actual position.
I think this is weird, especially if you a longer term trader and opened positions at very lower or higher prices.

You can see why this looks weird on the attached screenshots.

Maybe there would be a switch to determine whether you want to include the actual position display on the screen or not; or there would be a threshold for the scaling, and if it would result in such a weird scaling, it would mean that the scaling wouldn’t take the position info displaying into consideration.

    Hello Arpad,

This is a property you can set with ChartTrader.

Right click in ChartTrader area > Properties > Set Auto scale to false.

      No Ryan,

      You are wrong.

      You cannot set this.
You can turn on auto scaling, which works weird in the situation I described, or you can turn it off completely.

As I have written in my previous post (or at least I tried to do this) I want auto scale, but it would count only price data, not position info (because it screws up display).

Please let me know if my conception is not completely clear.
      Thank you.

If it is clear, please forward this to be included in the list of possible future enhancements.
      Many thanks.

It's clear and working as expected here. I suggest you set autoscale to false (from the chart trader properties) and evaluate behavior.

          Hi Ryan,

You are right. I was wrong, sorry.

I overlooked that you wrote Chart TRADER Properties should be altered.
          It works perfectly.

          Accept my apologies.

          Best regards,
          Arpad
