Next Beta and Zen-Fire API update...

I was told by tech support at Mirus futures that some required Zen-Fire API changes will be forthcoming in NinjaTrader, presumably in the next Beta version. Is there any ETA on this?

I am not aware of any required API changes that are forthcoming. I can assure you that whatever changes have been required in the past or future are communicated between our development team Zen-Fire technology team on a timely basis.

The tech support guy (Brian, I think?) said that someone else had called in about an issue yesterday where they had noticed that Zen-Fire was aggregating DOM quotes, as compared to the Rithmic feed hosted by Vision. (I noticed the same thing, which is why I called in to inquire as to why.)

He then read a support email from someone at Zen-Fire saying that a few updates to the API were being implemented, and that there would be some changes forthcoming in the next version of NinjaTrader, which would deal with this. Perhaps you could call the guys at Zen-Fire and figure out what he is talking about... my impression was that you guys were aware of this. Unfortunately I did not get Brian to send me a copy of the email, which I should have done. Perhaps I can get that and forward it to you.

After corresponding with Pat at Zen-Fire, I now have a better idea of what was being discussed... there are no new immediate changes related to the API regarding aggregated quotes - that is purely a Zen-Fire thing.

He did however mention that they were adding some things like server-side OCO orders, which he mentioned you guys would be looking at enabling once NT 7 gets out of beta. I would request that server-side OCO orders should be one of the higher-priority things to implement once you do start working on your post-release list, since it would be very helpful in reliability and safety when trading with NinjaTrader. Just my $0.02... thanks!
