    Incorrect output from TickCounter

This is an issue that came up as part of a discussion in the General Programming forum, in thread http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/f...ad.php?t=34674. I'm repeating it here as it really is a v7 issue.

    Do the following:
    1. Create a Kagi chart with Base period type of Tick. (Specifically I created an ES chart with Base period type=Tick, Base period value=150, Reversal=2 and Reversal type=Tick.)
    2. Add the TickCounter indicator. The message "Tick Counter only works on bars built with a set number of ticks" will appear in the lower right corner.
    3. Bring up the Data Series dialog and change Type to Renko. The output from TickCounter gets weird, at times insisting there's a negative number of ticks remaining and positioning the message so it doesn't always fit on the screen.

    Hello MikeInMA,

    Thank you for your post.

I have been able to reproduce this on my end. I will need to follow up with our develoment team and will post as soon as I gather additional information.

    Thank you for your patience.
