What does it mean when the cursor turns into a red circle?

Sometimes the cursor for a particular chart will turn into a red circle with a while horizontal dash in the middle of it. I am assuming that it means that some action is not allowed, however sometimes for a chart it will remain in this state and I cannot get out of it. What keys do I need to press to get out of this state and get the cursor back to normal? The Escape key and a few other things I tried don't work...

    Hello,

Thank you for your forum post.

First off, this would be a bug we would want to track down and find out how this got stuck. Can you reproduce this, Is a certain series of clicks you have done to get this to happen you can remember. Also shutting down and restarting NinjaTrader should resolve the issue.

Secondly, Can you please let me know what version of NinjaTrader you are using this is located in the Control Center under Help->About and is to the right of the NinjaTrader logo.

I look forward to assisting you further.

I am using Beta 22... but this has been occurring in NT 7 since the beginning. The exact problem is that I don't know how it starts. Obviously it has to do with me performing a series of clicks on the chart, but I can't repeat it. Sometimes it goes away when I do another series of clicks. Can you tell me what this icon is supposed to mean? Obviously you guys coded it, so you should know what it is supposed to do. (It has something to do with selecting chart elements, I am pretty sure about that.)

I have had this happen to me 2 times over the last 3 months.
I was able to get the cursor to turn back to the pointer after selecting a draw object then setting it locked and attempting to to dragging it ... then going up and selecting Crosshair from the drop down. It does not occur frequently and I have no idea how I would even attempt to reproduce.

            Hello,

I have found the bug and have submitted in to development.

It occured when you tried to move a locked object and then right mouse clicked or middle mouse clicked during the move. This caused the icon to stick, until you reselected the drawing object.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.
