    Hello poeds,

Can you please tell me if this occurs each time you experience a disconnection with Zen-Fire or does it sometimes re-connect successful as well?

I see. Can you please close NinjaTrader and go to (My) Documents-->NinjaTrader 7 and delete the Config.xml file.

Start NinjaTrader and recreate your Zen-Fire connection as per the instructions at the link below.

Let me know if the issue persists.

            Hello poeds,

Am I correct the color only turns into an amber color when disconnected from the historical data server?

The amber color indicates the connection is not entirely connected, so it would be as expected when not connected to the historical data server. Other connectivity providers can experience the amber color as well when the connection is only partially connected.

For example, the Trading Technologies connection connects to two servers as well (Order & Price). If disconnected from one server, the connection color will turn into an amber color as well.

yes you very well could be
i have often had the amber up in 64 and still able to work
so perhaps there is an issue with 64 connection to ZF historical

You can check this in the Control Center-->Log-tab. Please check the times the color turned into amber and check if you see a disconnection from the historical data server listed.

Can you please disconnect/re-connect and check if the issue persists. If so, please try a restart of NinjaTrader and check again.

Do you perhaps have security software installed that interferes with the IP address and port that is used by the historical data server?

The connection to the NinjaTrader historical data server will use one of the following IP addresses:

                        64.202.118.132
                        64.202.118.144
                        64.202.118.179
                        64.202.118.180

And it will use port 31654.

why would reload historical data be greyed out on a chart?
if i do a d/l in historical data mgr it seems to complete in half a second but in reality has done nothing?

It would indicate you are not connected to the historical data server anymore. Or you are connected to a connectivity provider that does not support historical data.

Please try a disconnect/re-connect first and check if you will connect to the historical data server.
