NT 7.22 Crashes after strategy compilation

NT 7 has been crashing after several changes to any strategy I'm working on. It works fine for a time, say 3-4 compilations, and then it shows a message announcing NT has found an internal error and totally aborts. This is not exclusive to NT7.22, it has been happening with all versiones of NT7.

    Any clues?

I'm not able to import any strategies as I'm told I have custom NinjaScsrpt files on my PC that have programming errors. How do I discover which files these are? Or does it possibly relate to rperez's compiling problem?

        Hello ProfitPilgrim,

        Thank you for your post.

Please follow the instructions below to see where the errors are coming from after compiling the indicator. This will allow you to debug the indicator/strategy or remove it from your PC. If you are wondering why you receive an error when compiling only one indicator, it is because NinjaTrader compiles all indicators and strategies- not just one.
        • Open NinjaTrader
        • From the Control Center select the Tools menu--> select the Edit NinjaScript menu item--> select Indicator
        • Select an indicator and double click on it.
        • A new window will appear and you will need to right click in the window and select Compile to compile the indicators.
        • At the bottom of the window a new section will appear were you can find the error locations.
        • From there you have the option to remove the indicator or debug it.

Let me know if this does the trick for you.

Kyle I've removed the custom indicator from my strategy file and opened a native NinjaTrader strategy and still get a list of native ninjatrader strategies showing duplicate namespace error persist. That list is the same as my original post but was generated this time from trying to compile the SampleMultiTimeFrame strategy, which NinjaTrader wrote. Do those native NT indicators no longer compile in NT7v22? Where is the duplicate namespace occurring?

            ProfitPilgrim,

So that I may better advise, please provide me with an image of the code window showing the red error-reporting section.

                ProfitPilgrim,

Could I get you to provide me with another image of the same window, but expand the 'Error' column so I can see the full text?

                    ProfitPilgrim,

Thanks for providing that updated image.

Unfortunately, you'll need to completely uninstall/reinstall to clear this error. Most settings can be saved, but all custom NinjaScript files will need to be reimported.

                    Please follow these steps:
                    1.) Backup:
Please create a backup of your settings using the steps listed at the following link: http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/H...ABackupArchive

                    Do not backup NinjaScript items.

You will also need to save a copy of your license key. You will find the key listed in the Help > License Key menu.

                    2.) Reinstallation:
After backing up, please follow the steps listed below to completely uninstall and reinstall NinjaTrader:
                    1. Close all running applications.
                    2. Then from the Start menu select --> Control Panel --> Add and Remove Programs.
                    3. From Add and Remove Programs select NinjaTrader 6.5 and click Remove.
                    4. Then manually delete the folder "NinjaTrader 6.5" located under Start --> My Documents.
                    5. Delete any NinjaTrader installation files. This can be done by going to Start --> My Computer --> Search button --> search for (NinjaTrader*) --> select Local C Disk and then press search.
                    6. Then you will need to clear your internet browser cache and history. You will clear this from within your internet browser (with IE, Tools-->Options, delete cookies and files, clear ! history).
                    7. Reboot your machine.
                    8. Once these steps are completed, download NT6.5 from the link below:
                    Download

                    3.) Restoring Settings:
Finally, please restore your settings using the steps listed here: http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/H...ABackupArchive

                      RE the steps outlined above:
is this also the best way to uninstall/reinstall NT7 ? I have beta 22.
Could you please make a sticky somewhere of how to uninstall/reinstall NT7 and provide the link, or provide the link to whereever it is right now?
                      Thx.
