PFGBest - Open positions dont match with BestDirect8

Open postions in NT 7 beta 21 don't match with the position in BestDirect8. See attached image.

Where were these positions originated from? Were they traded from NT? From your brokerage account directly?

its fairly easy to replicate this. Just open NT7 and BestDirect8 simultaneously and place an order with NT. Doesn't matter if you use a strategy, charttrader or whatever.

Where are you placing the order from? NT or BestDirect? Please send in your log and trace files for NT as well. We would need that to analyze it. Thanks.

Like i said, i place the orders with NT.

But okay here is how you can reproduce it:

1. Open NT
2. Open BestDirect8 with the same account
3. Place any fx order with NT.
4. Compare the open order in BestDirect8 with the open order in NT. They never match.


Sorry but i'm not able to provide the trace file because i have some trace output from my own strategy in there.

Unfortunately we will need to check your trace file in order to see what information is received through the API connection directly.

Could you please block or remove the trace output from your strategy and send it over. Please send it to support[at]ninjatrader[dot]com. Reference this forum thread and put 'Attn Jason' in the subject header.

When I check the screenshot, I see that position price is almost the same - BESTDirect just does not report the third decimal, while NinjaTrader does. I am not sure why there is difference in PnL. Could it be you have setup commissions in NinjaTrader, which are not setup in BESTDirect that cause a lower PnL for each position in NinjaTrader?

yes the position price is 'almost' the same. But these small differences can sum up pretty bad. And because of that NT for pfg is at the moment pretty much unusable for me. I didnt set any commisions for pfg.

Also i'd like to point out that i don't have these kind of problems with MBT.
