Unable to get Sunday Bar (Forex) to display

Please help. I am unable get the Sunday bars to display on my daily chart. I have tried various options (changing local time, change session times etc.) with no success. What am I doing wrong? I have attached the settings. I created cdforex and set the dataseries in the chart to use it. I'm using NT7 Beta 21

    Hello cd95123,

Can you please tell me to what connectivity provider you connect.

Am I correct your PC clock is set to Eastern time (GMT -5) as well?

      Hi Jason,

I'm using eSignal. My PC clock is currently set to Pacific time. I had the same result with setting my PC to Eastern time.

When I select a daily interval, I do not load a bar for Sunday's either while connected to eSignal.

Do you see a daily bar for Sunday in the eSignal software if you create a daily chart?

Hmmm. I didn't check on eSignal software. I pay for the data feed ... I'll check to see if I can use the software.

I don't have access to eSignal software. Is there another way to troubleshhot this problem? The Sunday bar also does not show in cStrategy Anlyzer charts and exporting the data, using the ExportData strategy, does not show any daily Sunday bar data

              cd95123,

There may be some confusion here. The way NinjaTrader timestamps their bars is by end-of-bar timestamps. This means that the Sunday bar would actually come with a Monday timestamp in your particular timezone.

The attached screenshot shows the default Session Template used by forex instruments. The Sunday bar starts on Sunday 5PM ET and goes till Monday 5PM ET. For you in Pacific this would be 2PM-2PM. Since the session ends on Monday, your timestamp of that bar would actually be Monday and not Sunday.

                Josh,

I modified my setting for Sunday to be Sunday 5:00pm EST (or 2:00pm pst) to Sunday 11:59 pm EST (or 8:59 PST). See the attachemnt in my initial post.

Reread your posts. I see you are using eSignal. eSignal timestamps are provided natively as outlined here: http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h...rical_data.htm

What that means is the timestamp comes from your data provider and not your PC clock. This means whatever timestamp the data provider tags the bar as is what you will see once converted to your local PC clock's timezone. This would not be dependent on your session templates or anything of the likes when timestamps are natively provided.
