How is a Daily 3 Bar built?

Hello,
I'm wondering the base starting reference for when the period type = daily, value = 3 is selected.

Just thinking out loud,
The weekly value 1, either 5 full or 7 full days based on a calendar.
The daily value 1 is equal to a 24 hour period or based on the session template.
The hourly value 1 is equal to 60 minutes starting and ending at the top of the hour

All of these have a external clock or a calendar as a reference.

What I don't understand with the period type = daily, value = 3 is what is the starting point reference and does it stay consistent regardless of the number of "days to load."

I'm trying to make certain regardless of my settings that the bar is the exact same three days regardless of the instrument, number of days to load, and is not impacted by my personal settings.

I would appreciate an explanation.

Andrew,

The starting point is based on how many days you load. So if your "Days to load" is rolling forward every day, your starting point changes every day. To stay consistent you would then need to hard set the starting date for your chart.

Thank-you Josh. Could you clarify how I would "hard code" the beginning date. I only see a "End date" field.

Nevermind .....

I found that you can do a drop down on the "Load data based on" field. That's what I need to check out.
