Memory Leak?

I think you have a memory leak or some other vodoo when optimizing a strat with Renko charts.

I've double checked this against one of the default strats and it does the same thing... See attached image.

I can run my strat fine with regular 1 min charts, but as soon as I switch to Renko, it freezes and if I go to my task manager, I can watch the memory usage climb and climb and climb. I let it go to 2 gigs of memory use once before killing the process.

This issue seems to come and go. But right now it is just here and won't go away. I cannot get it to work at all now. In the past, I've been able to go to historical data manager and delete all the historical prices for the particular instrument I'm using (TF).

However, this last times I've been trying it, nothing I do seems to get around it. I've verified it failing against a default strat. Removing historical data does nothing. It just eats and eats away at memory and hangs NT. Requiring a process kill.

I'm using version .21 and Zenfire.

There is actually something development is already looking into for Renkos already which may impact this here. Thanks for the heads up.

A bit of info for the programmers.

I've been able to get this to work (so far anyway) by changing the session template to something other than Default 24/7. So far using "use instrument settings" or some of my custom sessions are working.

This was not the case yesterday. So, I don't know why it is so finicky. I remember with 100% certainty that Default 24/7 was working prior to today.
