    64bit zenfire

I understand that its a new api, but have you heard of any bugs so far with the 64 bit connectivity as of yet. How much longer would you suspect before it comes out of its beta stages. Im interested in trading live with 64 bit.
    Thank you

I am not able to connect to zenfire in 64bit. I've enabled 64 bit in my connection but it gives some error about fail to call IAdapter.Connect when I try to connect.

      Hello playafh69,

We have not come across any bugs regarding Zen-Fire 64 bit connectivity.

Unfortunately there is no ETA yet when NinjaTrader 7 will be released as production version.

@Softturbo, the error message indicates that you did not follow the instructions below when you installed version 7.0.0.21. Please perform the instructions below and the Zen-Fire connection error will be resolved.

To install Beta 21, it is MANDATORY to first uninstall any prior version before installing. This procedure will not remove your data and settings.

For people upgrading from Beta 16 or later please use the following steps:

      – Uninstall NinjaTrader 7 via Windows Control Panel
      – Delete the folder C:\Program Files\NinjaTrader 7 if you have a 32-bit machine OR
      – Delete the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\NinjaTrader 7 if you have a 64-bit machine

NOTE: Deleting these directories will remove any custom sounds you may have

      – Install NinjaTrader 7 Beta 21

I meant when you guys would consider the 64 bit api for zenfire not beta. Just like Kinetick api, there was a testing period. Is the 64 bit api totally dependent on the ninja platform?

I see. Unfortunately there is no ETA yet when we provide a 64 bit API that is non-beta for NinjaTrader 7 beta.

            64 bit does not start

I installed from scratch the version 7 beta 21 which put two icons on my desktop. One is "NinjaTrader 7 (64-bit)". When I run this one NinjaTrader doesn't start and the error message box pops up. See the image attached.

Thanks for your reply but I do not have any SQL Compact Edition (or whatsoever) installed.

Can you please install the latest SQL Compact Edition from the link. Subsequently check if the error persists.

FlyingScots: I had the same problem and no listed "SQL Compact Edition" in the "Programs Listing", however there was a SQL Compact directory on my machine that was installed by other apps.

On win7 x64 I just installed both Service Pack Updates in the referenced thread, and the issue disappeared and NT7 B21 works perfectly in 64 bit mode

Thanks very much NinjaTrader_Jason and dnoff. I followed your instructions and now NinjaTrader starts. Unfortunately I had a msg saying that ZenFire doesn't support NinjaTrader 64-bit.

Zen-Fire does support 64-bit. You just have to turn on the option to be able to use it. In Account Connections for Zen-Fire, please press the Settings button when you are inputting in your login credentials and check the checkbox for 64-bit.

                              Hello poeds,

Can you please tell me what NinjaTrader 7 version you have installed. You can check this at Control Center-->Help-->About.

Only when you start NinjaTrader 7 using the 64 bit icon, you will run NinjaTrader in 64 bit. Subsequently if you connect to Zen-Fire, it will be in 64 bit. If you start NinjaTrader 7 using the regular NinjaTrader icon, you will run it in 32 bit.
