Shadow strategy keeps getting turned on by itself

This happens all the time. if I change accounts it gets turned on. it's not reproduceable so it's a random bug. It's happening more on my sim accounts, it hasn't happened on my real live account in a long time.

but I can live with it, even if it's a pain in the butt. the problem is it pollutes my results and I can't hide those trades. It'd be nice if there was a way to hide them, like a checkbox "hide shadow strategy".

I can't find any other way.

Please look into this and make an option to exclude it in the performance report. And while I'm thinking of it, the Euro still has only two digits in the points column so all my trades are 0.00 points. I thought this would be fixed by now.

Other than these two issues, NT7 is really working well for me and I'm really pleased with it.

Next time it happens please keep an eye on the clicks you used so that I can send this into development and try to reproduce.


May be also best if you send me your workspace and database so that I may look into this further.

Also the .00 bug in the Euro performance report development is aware of and is still on their list to resolve.

Heres what i suggest moving forward. I looks like you have a live key.

Please create a new Simulation account besides the Sim101 account. Now please place all your Simulation trades to this new account and not the Sim101 account. Now if a Shadow strategy is triggered it will go to the seperate Sim101 account and we will be able to tell with what ATM Strategy it occured with and what time it occured and it will no longer change your results.

Also you do realize that the Test atm strategy you have has an Shadow Strategy saved correct?

What you suggest with a separate sim account is precisely what I did. I use a "Test" account for testing out new ideas. Here's my trades today, all trades were either real (7...) or T (Test).



The "Test" ATM strategy I created today but after I noticed this shadow problem. I haven't had this shadow problem in the past week, it just started again today.

I'm 100% positive that I didn't turn on the shadow strategy because I have the advanced options hidden on all my DOMs so it's impossible for me to turn it on. Somehow it got turned on

Ok this looks good. As I do not see any trades to the Sim101 accounts. When you see a trade to the Sim101 account this means that it is a shadow trade and when this happens moving forward please let us know.

The shadow strategy is using my test account! that's what worries me. How did it know to use that one?

I tested this on my side and it does use the Sim102 account if you place a trade to a Sim102 account. So this will not work to test it this way Unfortuntaley.

Please test this way. Please enable Advanced options on your superDOM. Then please insure before you place any trades. That Shadow strategy is set to <None>. Then we will compare. If it gets set to a shadow strategy please let us know when this occurs and what mouse clicks caused it to occur.

I'll keep an eye on that, usually it happens without my noticing it and I only find out when it says "order filled" and I freak out not knowing what's going on.
