Missing bars if no trades at that time period

It seems that NT is omitting bars if no trades were made for that session. For example, on a 5 minute chart, if no trades were made from 9:00AM - 9:05AM, the 9:05AM bar will be missing. This is a big problem when drawing trendlines on a larger time frame as the missing bars will cause false touches to the line on smaller time frames since they don't line up correctly over time. I've been noticing this the past week or so because of rollover.

Is there a way to at least have a blank space where the bar should be if there was no trade?

    Hello,

Can you please take a screenshot of your chart and let me know what data feed provider you are connected too so that I can compare on my side and also let me know what session template you are using and what time zone you are in.

FYI, whether or not there are any trades on the chart does not relate to the data that is displayed in the chart. (Or should not).

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

I'm using Zen-fire in CST. Attached are screens of the 6A 12-10 chart, CME FX Futures ETH session template.

Below, you can see that between 15:00 and 16:00 on Sept 8, there is missing data and no candles to fill up the space.

I'm not sure if this is why trendlines are being drawn incorrectly, but take a look below. I have the same chart where the a trendline gets trampled by a 5min chart but doesn't get touched when switching to a 60min. The start and anchor point are contained within the data series time length.

This 60min chart shows that at September 14 5:00AM CST, prices hover above the thick trendline:

When changing the time frame to 5 minutes, you see otherwise:

I know that changing the time frame will inevitably cause trendlines to skew a little bit, since a low at 5:05 on a 5min chart would be the same point at 6:00 on a 60min chart, but this is a little more deviation than there should be. Also, when I adjust the y-axis with my mouse, I get a laser light show with my trendlines as they dance around all over the place...

Can you please save that chart into a workspace and send us your workspace containing all of those draw objects? Thank you.
