    Instrument Manager

    I have only traded ES in the past, but am expanding my trading and trying other markets. I have noticed a several of the instruments in the Instrument Manager I can not display charts for (DAX GC for example). Does the symbols I am able to display depend upon the Broker or data feed I use? I have Mirus as a Broker and use Zenfire for a data feed.

    Hello safetrading,

    Thank you for your post.

    Please confirm your symbol settings match the ones I have included for GC & FDAX. (see screenshots)

    If you are connecting using Zen-Fire then you should have access to most futures contracts. Let us know which symbols you are not receiving data for & we can help you get those configured.

      I put this issue aside for awhile, but I'm back with it and still have the same problem. I'm trying to display symbol GC, with an expiry of 12-10. I checked my symbol settings and they match the ones in your screen shots. Here is what happens. I create the chart, it appears OK. Data is displayed up to the very second I create the chart. I'm using the bar timer on my chart too. Once the data is loaded, it is static, nothing is updated. The bar timer will start counting down, but when it gets to zero, it just stops.

      If I create a new chart, or change to another symbol and back to GC again, the data again will be current as of the time I made that change, but it will not continue streaming. My other symbols work just fine, this only happens with symbol GC. What can I try to fix this?

            Please upgrade to 7.0.0.23 via the following link: http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/do...g_software.htm

            After upgrading, please reset your instrument list:
            To reset your instruments please: go to the Tools menu, select the Options menu item, select the Data tab, and then click on 'Reset Instruments'.




            After resetting your instrument list, restart NinjaTrader, reconnect and check to see if data is available.

              download problems

              I have tried four times to download the new version 7.0.0.23 as requested. Each time I get to the "download now" link and click on it, my browser closes. It is not an issue with my browser, as I have tried downloading other files and restarted my computer, but the link still will not let me download the new version. Please advise.

                Please disregard my last message, it was my fault. I discovered a virus in my computer and have since resolved the issue.
