    Indicator issues after Beta21

    Hi support,

after installing from NT 6.5 Vers. 16 to NT 7 Beta21 I've got some strange issues with the indicators. When I try to load a 3rd party indicator for example jtEconNews2, I can't see them in the Indicator list (chart==> indicator, left side). But I can see some indicator, that are really not in the folder: "C:\Users\JENS\Documents\NinjaTrader 7\bin\Custom\Indicator".

When I compile the indicator I get no error messages and in THIS list, I see the "right" indicator, that means there a only the indicator listed, that are find in the "C:\Users\JENS\Documents\NinjaTrader 7\bin\Custom\Indicator" folder.

Any ideas to solve this problem?

    Thanks and best regards.

    Jens

Jens, 6.5 indicators / strategies would not be migrated automatically - you would need to reimport your NinjaScripts in NT7 to check compatibility and if neccessary modify the code according to those guidelines - http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/f...ad.php?t=21016

      Hi Bertrand,
thank you for the quick reply. It's clear, that I have to migrate the other indicators/strategies by myself. But it's strange, that in the indicator list where I select the indicators for the chart, I find indicators, which are definitely not in the indicator folder. In the opposite some "self-migrated" indicators were NOT shown. That's my problem. So there must be a file (I think which comes from NT 6.5) which stored older informations... but which file?

Are those perhaps installed as custom assembly files in the bin > custom folder, so they are loaded at startup automatically?

Unfortunately not Bertrand. In the attachment you can find some screenshots to make it clearer. Hope that helps...

You would then need to open up the 6.5 source code and inspect it for example for a change in the displayed name (GUI Name).

Well, not so simple to edit the source file, when there is no one in the folder :-)
Could it be, that this has something to do with the "NinjaTraderCustom.xml" file?
What's the size of the original file Bertrand, please?

Sorry, you lost me - according to your screenshots the raw CS file is in the indicator folder, correct?

My NinjaTrader custom XML has 762 KB.

How did you load those custom scripts? Via the Import or by copying in?

                Thanks

In the indicator folder there are only the original *.cs files from the NT7 installation and for example the jteconews2.cs file. But for example not the WoodiesCCI or WoodiesPivits indicator. To make it complicated: I can load the Woodies indicators (strange because actualy they are not there) and I can't load the jteconews indicator, because it is not in the indicator list...
Besides the BWT and the jteconews2 indicator I didn't import any file manually.

The WoodieCCI and WoodiesPivots would be shipped per default with NT, however their source code could not be viewed, they would be located in the Vendor assembly referenced.
