remove contract

is there a way to remove permanenetly a contract SB 01-11 from the list
under Misc. Keeps reappearing every time you log back in the app,

trend, which list are you talking about? Is Misc. an instrument list? If you remove an instrument from the Instrument Manager, it should stay removed.

Hi Austin,
There are many individual months for every futures contract.
When I remove the Jan one for sugar 01-11, keeps reappearing
upon logging back into the application. (does it download these from the
NT servers?)

trend, please try deleting the config.xml file present in the My Documents/NinjaTrader 7 folder (after backing it up), then delete the instrument again and see if that does the trick.

Hi Austin,
when you connect to the data feed (e.g. Kinetick) the SB 01-11 reappears
in the list of contracts. Is there any way for the user to override this list,
or you have to set roll dates so that the contract becomes ineffective.
That is set to roll on a Saturday to 01-11 and next day (i.e., Sunday) to roll
to 03-11, which is the most liquid contract you would like to track,

There is no way to remove it as you experienced, it gets redownloaded from the server. You can do what you have outlined in your previous post to achieve what you want though.
