chart will not update

    chart will not update

    I've been using NT 7.0.0.20 (Live) for about a week now with no problems. Today I opend a chart for symbol Z 10-10 (FTSE 100). I put up price and volume. It displayed properly, but it will not update. It only displays the data that was loaded at the time I created the chart.

    I deleted the chart and made a new one with the same result. I have the session template set to Default 24/7 and this is a 5 minute chart, and I use Zen fire as my data source. Any known reason why this won't update with the rest of my charts?

    There are no known issues with this instrument.

    Please open the Log tab of the Control Center. Do you see any errors related to this instrument listed?

      I checked the log tab and I do not see any errors or references to optning the chart. I opened a new one again, but it still will not update. What else can I try to resolve this?

        I'm not totally familiar with Z. Is 10-10 the correct expiry to use?

        I'd suggest trying the next to see if data streams there.

          I'm not sure, how where can I verify the expiry? Also, I tried an expiry of 12-10 too. I also noticed the Exchange for this symbol in the Instrument Manager is Liffe, not Globex like the other symbols I use. Could this have anything to do with it?

            Please contact your broker and confirm that 10-10 is the correct expiry to use.

              Can you explain to me why the expiry is suspect when I load the chart and all of the price and volume info is displayed? If it was the wrong expiry I wouldn't be able to load the chart data at all, would I?

                My thinking is this: If the contract you're charting is expired, it would no longer update. The historical data would, however, remain in place.

                  but the data is current to the exact minute that I create the chart, it just will not update after that, so NT is getting the current data when it loads the chart, it just will not keep getting it.
