    Kinetick and IQ feed

This is a general question... I know that IQ feed and Kinetick are essentially the same thing, and they both work great( i was a beta tester while i was a subscriber to IQ feed, I did alot of testing)...
Its also nice to hear that its cheaper..

One problem I have is in regards to bid/ask data.. I know that Ninja currently doesn't support bid/ask data backfill, but with IQ feed, there are programs out there, such as QCollector, that can connect to the IQ feed server and manually download it, which can later be imported to ninja.
Are there any programs out there that can do that with kinetick data feed as well? Qcollector already works with the ninja platform, so it shouldn't be hard to do. Is it possible to collaborate with them to add that feature?
Since you guys are at the latter stages of the beta testing, is something in the works to have bid/ask backfill native for ninjatrader?

If the bid/ask issue is still all the way on the bottom of your list, what are the chances on having your kinetick service be able to work with a program like qcollector? Or maybe you can have it work internally?

      Hello playafh69,

We do support historical bid and ask data providing the connectivity provider supports it as well. Please see the link below under 'Understanding the data provided by your connectivity provider'.

I am not aware of programs that offer such functionality with Kinetick.

You can import historical data as per the instructions at the following link.

I am no aware of plans to support historical bid and ask data natively.

In adddition, the Kinetick feed is exclusive to NinjaTrader.

Just to clarify, Kinetick does support historical bid/ask tick data, not minute.

Quick question...... if Kinetick supports historical bid/ask, does that mean the standard Ninja indicator (Ex: BuySellVolume) will not 'reset' and lose data every time I tweak the chart?

(this is probably my most aggravating issue with ZenFire)

          Thanks....

Unfortunately the power volume indicators will lose their history when changing a property, instrument or interval in the chart.

These indicators run on real-time data only.

Thats why I asked them..... I meant for backfill.
No plans yet.... Thanks for the prompt reply.
Will stick with DTN i guess.

                Ray:

For a futures trader (CL, ES, TF) who needs DOM and Real Time TIck data, what is the difference between the IQFeed and Kinetic Feed costs?

Of course, the silver lining would be if you could come up with native support for historical bid-ask data for which we are currently using the GOM framework. It will be a HUGE plus.

                Thanks

Kinetick is basically iq feed... But if you use gomi's indicators and need backfill( which alot of ninja trader users do), you have to use Iq feed, and not kinetick. With iq feed you can use qcollector and download/convert data for ninja trader..
According to NJ jason, a software like qcollector doesn't exist for kinetick, so your best bet is to stick with iq feed.

                    Some differences

                    - Kinetick does not carry a one time set up cost (I think around $80)
                    - Kinetick provides options for 100, 200 or 500 symbols where IQFeed is 500 symbols
                    - Kinetick provides free historical EOD data, IQFeed does not

Its true that kinetick provides free EOD data and its rock solid, but as far as setup costs for DTN, you can have that waived if you use sierra charts, ninja, market delta.... etc

If you don't use bid/ask data, then kinetick is a bargain bc its actually cheaper( i think by $30).
Unfortunately i still can't use it till i can get someway to backfill bid ask data
