Moving drawn objects to new contract?

Is there a simple way to transfer drawn objects on a chart to the chart for the new contract (from ESU to ESZ for instance)? I figure I'll edit the workspace xml if I have to.

Hello John,

Unfortunately this is not supported - you cannot transfer drawing objects from one chart to another.

You can set drawing objects to appear on all charts for the same instrument and expiry in the Properties menu of the drawing object.

I found a tricky workaround. A:You add the new contract to the old chart (as in display both the old and new contract) , then B: right click on an object and set it to display on all new contract charts , then C: make a new chart with the new contract and your objects appear. D: discard your old chart ...

Hello John,

I am not sure if I follow step B. I assume the drawing object is added to the 09-10 expiry data series. Subsequently you add a 12-10 expiry data series to the chart.

If I right click the drawing object, I can only enable it for all charts that use the same instrument and expiry. I cannot enable it for the 12-10 expiry on my end. Could you please clarify?

Or do you copy the drawing object from the 09-10 expiry to the 12-10 expiry in between?

Having a chart with old and new contract doesn't provide the ability to transfer drawing objects.
Although this would be an intriguing feature...
