    NT7 b20 ignoring EnterShort()

    After working with NT for many hours writing code, compiling, debugging,etc...everything was working as expected until ..... The debug window never shows a position when NT went Short but the chart shows instant fill of target above the short entry with a profit target tag instead of a stoploss tag

    I have reset & repaired the db
    I have restarted NT
    I will be glad to send you whtever you need to debug this
    It is reproducable

      Laserdan, what is the TraceOrders output saying as you run into the 'ignored' order?

      Is there any stripped down sample code I could run on my end here to check into?

      Thanks

          Are you still working on this?

            Sure, sorry for the late reply here - is there any simplified version (hiding your IP) of the strategy I could run here to check for you?

            It seems like there's just no bar update to report the changed position status as your stoploss immediately fills.

              No unfortuneatly there is not a simplified version. But I will be glad to send it to you.

              So are you saying that there needs to be a barupdate event called after my position is filled? This doesnt make sense...

              My code goes from here EnterShort http://screencast.com/t/ZjliMGVjYz
              to the Print where it evaluates InPosition as false here http://screencast.com/t/ZWI5NjI3OG
              output looks like this:
              Short
              InPostion = False
              But clearly there is a position...is there not?

                I would be happy to run it here to check into - you can direct the script to support at ninjatrader dot com to my Attn. To debug why you see this reporting, I would suggest to include Prints showing the BIP call sequence you see.
