    Charts Reloading Everytime

Why does Ninja re-downloads charts everytime I pull up a new chart?

Let's say that I have a 2000 Volume Chart for ES ##-## up and wanna pull up a 4000 Volume for the same instrument, why does the program get new historical data from the server?

It's annoying because it takes a while to download everything again.

Maybe I could tweak some settings so this doesn't happen?

I am using IQfeed as the data provider.

    Hello Rohok,

It should not re-download historical data if it is already present in your database.

I tested a 2000 volume ES chart on my end and subsequently switched it to a 4000 volume chart. It did not re-download historical data, however it did take a few moments to load the data from the database into the chart using the new interval.

Am I correct that the lower right corner of the Control Center indicates new historical data is downloaded once you switch intervals?

In addition, make sure you have NinjaTrader 7.0.0.20 installed, which is the latest beta version.

      Problem is still there.

Whenever I am NOT connected all charts will have plots.

Whenever I FIRST connect charts will lose the plots and then be stuck at Loading Data for a long long time.

Whenever Iqfeed disconects from Ninja and then reconects it will be the same as a first connection. (long long time)

I am using a Custom Range charts from 1/1/2010 to current date.

        Hello Rohok,

Can you please post your latest log and trace files that include the first connection and the connection loss. You can find log and trace files at the following locations.

Start Menu--> My Documents--> NinjaTrader 7--> Log--> log.20100831 for today (log.yyyymmdd for any other date)

Start Menu--> My Documents--> NinjaTrader 7--> Trace--> trace.20100831 for today (trace.yyyymmdd for any other date)

In addition, how many charts do you have opened in total?
