NT b20 Crash

    NT b20 Crash

    Upgraded to NT b20 from NT b17 today. In both beta versions when I tried to reload historical data NT crashed after getting the attached notice, got the same error notice with both versions and same log screen.

    Hello,

    Thanks for your note.

    When you say it crashed did it grey out and go not responding and then you to by hand end the program manually or did it shut down on its own?

    If you connect now does it occur again?

      The Message window would not close and all ES charts started plotting from a new candle meaning all previous candles for the day were gone. Yes, I had to end process from the task manager to shut down. I could not access the Control Center, I believe, due to the message window freezing. Yes it happened twice so far.

        Hello,

        This message indicates that the data server connection was not avaliable and therefor caused the error. Are you on a wireless connection?

        Also what is your ISP?

        Are you behind a router?

        Do you have another PC at your location to test on?

          Yes but using Windows 7 instead of XP Pro that I trade on.

            Hello,

            Would it be possible to test on this secondary PC for a day to see if the same issue occurs.

            Essentially we need to get this narrowed down to something on your PC or something on your network that is causing this to occur.

            Also what firewall software do you have on your PC?

              Hi Brett,

              I use Comodo firewall. I will try several tests tonight on the other pc, I just need to load NT onto it then will play around with it.

                Hello,

                Thanks for this infomation.

                Please run these tests on the other PC and let me know the results!. Also if you would like you can run a test on the current PC also by uninstalling comodo firewall and then test to see if this resolves the issue.

                  OK Brett, will run the tests tonight. I highly doubt it has anything to do with Comodo as I haven't updated Comodo for awhile and have not had any other issue with Comodo and NT at all since starting with NT 6 over a year ago thru NT 7 until today.
