Drawing tool error when changing template

    Hello,

When drawing tools are set behind price and then you change to a different template all of the drawings are now in front of price.

    Thanks

    Hello,

Thank you for your forum post.

What version of NinjaTrader are you using? This is located in the Control Center->Help->About to the right of the NinjaTrader logo.

As I did this test on my end and when I changed the session template my horizontal line drawing stayed behing price action.

I look forward to assisting you further.

I look forward to assisting you further.

          tommyjames,

This behavior happens because draw objects are not stored as part of a chart template. When you switch chart templates the draw objects are effectively reset on the z-order they occupied on the previous chart.

The reason draw objects are not stored in chart templates is because that would mean loading different templates would load different objects. NT instead has draw objects attached to the bar series instead so when you have a chart of the instrument you will have those objects regardless of which template you load.

Can you guys make an option to set all drawings behind price by default?

Since you can't change bar types without using templates, I have to go back and forth all day long from one template to another, so I have hundreds of drawings that have to be modified constantly.

            Thanks

              Hello,

I will send this into development. Curious, have you tried using multiple workspaces instead of using the templates to achieve what your trying to do?

              Thank You for your suggestion.

Yeah but then I have to have 2 of everything open and it takes up to many resources.

                  Hello,

How often are you switching between these two workspaces?
