it is possible to assign an account to a strat that is not the default account (e.g. Sim101) even though global sim mode is on

yes....however, per my post, I believe it should also prevent enabling a strat to any acct buy Sim101...as a precaution

Took another look at this and it works as you would like. When using global simulation mode: You can't enable a strategy if it's associated with a live account.

with global sim mode on you can still select Sim102 or any of non-cash acct from a strat....my thought is that global sim should mean global sim...i.e. Sim101 only...? maybe only to avoid trading cash acct by mistake

Yes, this is true. Global sim mode restricts strategy enablement to sim accounts, and this is not limited to the default Sim101. Unfortunately there's no additional control (only Sim 101 for example). You will have to be aware of the specific Sim account selected if you do not want orders placed there in global sim mode.

Global sim mode should only allow you to enable a strategy if it's a local NT account (Sim 101, Sim 102). Let us know if you are seeing something different.

my mistake...just tested by trying to connect to cash acct and of course can not...works as it should ...i.e. no risk...thanks.
