    Foreign Key error on NT7 launch

    I just launched NT7 b20 and it suddenly throws this error:

    World's leading screen capture + recorder from Snagit + Screencast by Techsmith. Capture, edit and share professional-quality content seamlessly.

        Please send a note to Support [AT] NinjaTrader [DOT] com.

        In the message, include the following:

        1.) A link to this forum thread.

        2.) Your most current trace file.
        You will find the trace file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > Trace folder.
        Today's file would be named 'trace.20100822.txt'.

            Please upgrade to the current version of the NinjaTrader 7 beta via the following link: http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/do...g_software.htm

            To install Beta 21, it is MANDATORY to first uninstall any prior version before installing. This procedure will not remove your data and settings.
            For people upgrading from Beta 16 or later please use the following steps:
            – Uninstall NinjaTrader 7 via Windows Control Panel
            – Delete the folder C:\Program Files\NinjaTrader 7 if you have a 32-bit machine OR
            – Delete the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\NinjaTrader 7 if you have a 64-bit machine
            NOTE: Deleting these directories will remove any custom sounds you may have
            – Install NinjaTrader 7 Beta 21

              Fixed

              Thanks, that fixed it. BUT trouble is that all my default settings for my strategies have been wiped out. Can you please warn us of that next time so that we can jot them down?

                This procedure would have left everything intact. Did you, perhaps, remove the Documents > NinjaTrader folder as well?

                  Absolutely not - I followed the instructions to the tee as I'm very protective of my carefully calibrated setup.

                    Unfortunately, I'm not able to replicate this removal. That said, if you'd be interested in backing up your settings and trying this again, I'd be interested to see what would occur.
