    older daily data for ES

    Hi,

    Very happy with NT7.
A question I have though is:
I have a daily chart of ES 09-10 but the earliest I can get it to show is 03.31.2009, is it possible to get it to go back further? I am using ZF. There is No difference if I in the properties set it to go back 700 or 900 days, always shows 03.31.2009 as the earliest day.

    tnx

    Hello naxo79,

You should be able to load more historical daily data as per the ES instrument when connected to Zen-Fire. I tested a daily chart for 1000 days back and I received historical data starting at 11/23/2007.

Can you please right click in the chart and select 'Reload All Historical Data' or try creating a brand new chart via File-->New-->Chart.

Can you please disconnect/re-connect to Zen-Fire and try creating the chart once more.

Please check if historical data is enabled as per your Zen-Fire connection as well. Please go to Tools-->Account Connections, highlight the Zen-Fire connection and click Change.
If the issue remains, please try a restart of NinjaTrader.

          tnx, but still no dice.

Historical data per ZF is enabled.

          Disconnected - reconnected
          NT restart
          closed chart, recreated chart.
          Reloaded all historical data.
Still 31.3.2009 is the earliest that shows up.

Is it possible that in the cache or somewhere is some bad tick or something that makes it unable to go beyond 31.3.2009?

A bad tick should not cause such behavior.

Can you please check what 'Merge policy' setting is setup as per the ES instrument. Please go to Tools-->Instrument Manager, highlight the ES and click Edit. Make sure it is set to MergeBackAdjusted.

Subsequently create a new chart again.

It was use global, changed it to MergeBackAdjusted and re-created the chart. Still same behavior.

Can you please try a reboot of your PC. I tried a new chart using the exact same settings as you have listed in the Data Series window, but I could not reproduce the limited historical data.

In addition, please check the Log-tab of the Control Center for any error messages as well.

Will reboot in a while, cant do it right now. Will report back then.

Did some research in the meanwhile.
Tried changing to ES ##-## and reloading all data. There it also shows it cant go back beyond 30.3.2009.

                  Logs dont show any errors.

But will reboot in a while and get back.

                          Hi,

I have both a Mirus and AMP username, I have tried this on them both.

I am a little hesitant to send over live account info. Maybe I an sign up for a demo and try it on that and then send that info.

                              Hi,

Thanks for the help so far.

Removed NT and deleted the NT7 dir and re-installed.
Same thing on a completely clean installation without restoring any settings.
