ATM Strategy no longer displayed in Control Center/Strategies tab

The active and executed ATM strategies previously displayed in version 6.5 on the Control Panel/Strategies tab no longer displays in version 7.
I cannot find anyplace to set the option to display or any information in help that ATM's are disabled for version 7.

Welcome to our forums - ATM's are still available in NT7, however you're correct : they would not be displayed in the strategies tab anymore, this is now for NinjaScript strategies only.

Why has this useful feature been removed?

Thanks for the response.

Displaying of the ATM unrealized and realized P&L in the Control Center/Strategies tab was the only way to keep track of the P&L for each trade placed (using an ATM). Without it, one would have to manually group each entry and exit and calculate each trade P&L from the executions tab .... very laborious. The marker analyzer only shows accumulative P&L for each instrument traded. The Control Center/Accounts Performance/Trades tab is also very limited and is not useful.

When trading live - I'm sure other members can attest - I need to know at a glance the combined result of a trade and not have to manually calculate it. This has always been there in 6.5.

For each contract I would now have to find the entry and exit in the executions tab, calculate the point delta, calculate the P&L value, subtract the commission. Many trades consist of more than 1 contract. All the contracts for group ATM trade would need to be found, calculated, then summed. All this for a feature that used to exist !!!!!

What is the reasoning that for NINJA 7 this ability, a very essential feature, has been 'REMOVED' and at least not replaced it with some other method of doing the same?

To get a quick overview of your PnL you can look in the Control Center's Positions or Accounts tab. The reason it was removed is to make room for strategy persistence. Strategy persistence is when the strategy will remain in the Strategies tab indefinitely until removed. Having ATM strategies added here does not work with the strategy persistence concept and as such was removed.

Workarounds are inadequate

Thanks for your responses. I am aware of the 'workarounds' - but as I had originally posted these are not adequate both in terms of the number of steps involved and the fact that the same information previously available in 6.5 Control Center/Strategy tab, is not available in the Market Analyzer, Control Center/Account tab or the Control Center/Account Performance tabs.

1. The Market Analyzer only shows accumulative total for the day by instrument - not per trade/per instrument.
2. The Account tab only shows a single account P&L total for the day. After the first trade - this total cannot be used to keep track of individual trades.
3. Account performance has no $ P&L, only a % value. Also, even though the related ATM strategy is shown - it is per contract and no grouping by ATM trade is done. But the fact that no $ P&L is shown here, makes this tab unusable.

The trade summary by ATM was/is only available in 6.5 ControlCenter/Strategy tab. I understand that you want to reserve it for showing persistent Ninjascript strategies but you have as a result dropped an irreplaceable feature. I also understand that the team is probably overwhelmed working on advancing the beta version, but just dropping something that worked perfectly before seems regressive at best.

This does not seem logical or even progressive as you already have the code to do this. How about simply providing another ControlCenter/ATM strategy tab that shows just ATM's so there is no conflict with the Ninjascript strategies.

I have been using NT to trade live each day for several years now and use this feature heavily - not having it anymore would be a significant handicap. I also cannot imagine my fellow traders not needing to utilize this same feature.

3. If you want $ mode, you need to switch it to Currency mode. There is a drop down option for it next to the date selector.
