    Load session template from thinkscipt?

Is there a way to load a session template from thinkscript? Or even just to determine which session template is currently loaded?

    #2
OK. I see how to determine the session template that is currently loaded. But is there any way to load a different template from thinkscript?

      Hello,

I am not familiar with ThinkScript. What are you refering to here or are you refering to NinjaScript. If NinjasScript, What is your application are you trying to change a session template on a chart that is already created or are you trying to specify the session template of a data series that you have added with NinjaScript and the Add() method.

I look forward to assisting you further.

Stupid me. I did mean Ninjascript. What was I thinking, writing thinkscript when I meant Ninjascript? Thanks for pointing out the error.

And I would want to know how to do either/both of those operations.

          Hello,

You cannot change the Session template in NinjasScript, as NinjaScript and added data series will always use the Session template specified by the chart it is added to.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

            Hello,

and is it possible to set the Session Template in the Initialize() method?
So I would not have to choose it anytime when I add a strategy.

            Thanks a lot.

              Hello,

To set this you would change the session template when you are adding the strategy then right click on that window and select Save as Default for <Strategy Name>. Now each time you add this strategy you will have the session template saved for you.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Is there a way to get the OHLC for the default session template (Instrument Setting/RTH) for an instrument, assuming the chart is running on ETH?

                  Hello,

This is possible however it would require programming a custom indicator.

You can contact one of our NinjaScript consultants to assist you with coding this or you can use our NinjaScript guide and forums to code this indicator yourself if you are a programmer.
