Missing daily data using MBT

    Missing daily data using MBT

    A couple of my forex pairs are not showing the daily data for last Friday (23/07/2010). The pairs are EURCAD, EURAUS, NZDJPY.
    I have reloaded the data, deleted the data and reloaded again, but the 23/07/2010 is still missing for those pairs.
    The minute data is fine and is not missing anything.

    Can you please check to see if NT gets the same results.

    1.) Which version of the NinjaTrader 7 beta are you using? (Help > About)

    2.) Which session template is being used in these daily charts? (Right click in chart, select Data Series)

      Wow, that was fast!
      I am using beta 18, with the "forex" template. That is the same as many other forex pairs that are not missing data.

        Hi astrolobe,

        First, please upgrade to the current version of the beta (.19) via the following link: http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/do...g_software.htm

        After upgrading, if the issue persists, please try switching your template over to the 'Default 24/7' template and let me know if the data remains missing.

          Just upgraded to 19 and changed the template to Default 24/7, but still missing the data.

          Tried deleting all the daily data again, then downloaded it again, but still missing.

              Hi Kyle,
              My MBT account is not a data-only account, it is my live trading account. Unfortunately I cannot send those credentials.
              Someone at NT must have a MBT account for testing the connection, interface, etc.

                Hi Kyle,
                I tried the same thing with my IB account. Most of the behaviour is the same as MBT. This is what happens with my IB account.
                I am running MA with 20 forex pairs. I have 5 charts open that are linked to the same pair, except each chart is a different timeframe, i.e., weekly, daily, 8 hour, 4 hour, hourly. MA is linked to the same pair.

                My steps:
                • click thru' each pair in MA until I find a pair that is missing the daily bar for 23/07/2010.
                • check in HDM that the daily bar is actually there, which it is. (MBT was actually missing that daily bar in the HDM for some pairs, whereas IB has the bar)
                • change the session template from forex to 24/5. The missing bar is loaded. (in fact, I also tried only reselecting the current session template from its dropdown, and applying the fake change, and the missing bar appears. In other words, I did not choose a different session template, but just clicked on the one that was current, then applied the fake change)
                • change template back to forex, and the missing bar does NOT disappear...which is good.

                The steps of making a fake change in the session template dropdown, which then causes the missing bar to load, points to a NT bug.

                Please advise
