Upon starting new strategy - hundreds of trades are made

I'm having massive problems with both version 6.5 and now 7. I somehow think they are related. Hopefully someone can figure out what is going on, because I can barely use my strategies in 6. And they don't work at all in 7.

Here is the 7 related issue.

1) Start a strategy on ES using downloaded Market Replay data for 7/21 (date does not matter, same results regardless of date)
2) For this example, I'm using the pre-made example strategy of SampleMACrossover (strategy does not matter either).
3) Start running the strategy.

This is when NT goes berserk. It starts trading the ES so fast, you can't even keep track. Eighty or more orders in less than two seconds.

What gives? Why cannot I run a strategy? This is a simulation account if that matters any.

Thank you for your forum post.

I do not see the same on my side with the SampleMACrossOver strategy. So that I understand this correctly. You saying that when you start the SampleMACrossOverstrategy on replay data the second you start it you get 80+ orders or do you continue to get these orders very quickly?

What speed are you playing the market reply data at?

Also are you starting this strategy on the chart or strategies tab?

What are you using for calculateOnBarClose?

As soon as I start it, it sends off these orders. After that point, the script seems to work. I'm starting from the strategy tab. As far as speed, I'm just playing it 1x speed. Yes, calculate on bar close. I didn't change any of the script or the startup settings- other than setting it to ES.

I'm having such weird issues that no one else seems to have-- So much that I'm currently installing NT on my laptop to see if the issues remain there.

Let me ask you. If something became corrupted with 6.5 (that version is having its own weird problems that I've brought up in other threads), would that somehow contaminate 7 too (which I just installed this morning to try to get around the problems with 6.5)?

Its possible if you imported your data from 6.5 into 7 when you first started 7.

I will be interested in your test if it occurs on the laptop or not. If it occurs on the laptop please let me know and send me a screenshot of the settings you are using.

If it doesnt please let me know also as we need to do a fresh install of NinjaTrader 7 with special instructions.

To send a screenshot press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screen shot of the selected window. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint, and press CRTL + V to paste the image. Lastly, save as a jpeg file and send the file as an attachment.

Update..

It seems that this problem goes away if I start the strategy from a chart.

That was the trick as it only occurs when starting from the strategies tab, I can now duplicate on my side with NT7 B19 I will get this sent into development.
