B19: "Plot executions" is missing

in Strategy Analyzer - Chart - right click - Properties the Option "Plot executions" is missing.

Work around: Create a template with Plot executions is set to "TextAndMarkers" and load this template in SA-Chart.

btw: when start and end of a trade are not visible on the chart (entry is left outside, exit right) the green (or red) dot line disappears.

Unfortunately this is as expected. The 'Plot executions' option is listed in the Data Series menu, which you cannot access in the Chart-tab of the Strategy Analyzer.

By default the chart executions should be listed in the Chart-tab. Can you please restart NinjaTrader, subsequently perform a backtest in the Strategy Analyzer. Select the Chart-tab and check if you see all executions listed.

In addition, I am able to reproduce the disappearing line when the entry + exit order are not visible. I am not sure if this is expected behavior or not. I will verify with Development and let you know.

The disappearing (un)profitable trade line is not as expected behavior. It has been put on the list to fix it in a future version.

The reason why I ask was that for me no trade executions were displayed by default.
Restart does not help, only my workaround.
Perhaps it is because I updatet to B19. It was not a clear new installation.
Default in all my charts is "DoNotPlot". Nevertheless in the SA I want to see my backtest executions.

Hello Steffen,

Can you please create a new chart for the same period type that was used in the Strategy Analyzer.

Set 'Plot executions' to TextAndMarker.

Right click in the Data Series grid and select 'Set Default For XXX Period Type'.

Subsequently perform a new backtest in the Strategy Analyzer for the same period type. The Chart-tab should now automatically list the executions.

I know that this approach would work.
But I would like the following: Charts to trade (my work) without plots by default.
Charts in the SA with plot. That is, after all, the purpose of the charts in the analyzer!
There is a difference between trading and analysis.

Hi STP** !

The bug you reported in post #1 (execution lines disapearing) is fixed. We also implemented your suggestion (making executions on SA visible independent of bar series defaults).

The fix/enhanced behavior will be available with the next update of NinjaTrader.
