Output window losses scroll bars

Hi,

I have had a quick look through the forums, but haven't found this one yet.

I have run a strategy which includes a lot of output which can be viewed in the 'output window' which you can see being output and the scroll bar is getting small as more data is added to the window, but at the end of the strategy the scroll bar disappears and I am not able to scroll through the output as happens in ver 6.5

Any clues.

Graham, I've never seen the scrollbar actually disappear, but I have experienced issues with the output window scroll bar jumping back and forth between the last viewed output and the newest output. Then it loses synchronization and won't keep scrolling with the newest data.

Is the event you're reporting here reproducible? If so, can you please let us know how to reproduce it?

I get this happening when I am runnning the Strategy Analyser. I don't know whether this would shed any light on the matter.

It happens every time that I run the analyser, the screen starts filling with output and the scroll bar shrinks indicating that there is more data than currently shown, but at the end of the analysis the scroll bar disappears.

Graham, how much data needs to be printed into the output window for the scroll bar to disappear? I ran SampleATMStrategy on a 5 tick chart of CL 09-10 for almost an entire trading day via the Market Replay Connection, which generated a ton of entries, but the scroll bar never disappeared for me.

I have attached the full output that I get via NT ver 6.5.

The scroll bars only disappear at the end of the running of the stategy. As per my previous post.

The strategy and output commands are just copied from my ver 6.5 code.

Is there anything else that I can do to try and pin point where the problem is?

Hi there, just to clarify, this is with NT7 right? Can you please post the code you're using?

Sorry, I should have made it clearer.

The code that I have written is for a third party and it is subject to 'Intellectual Property' rights.

So my concerns are with regard to posting this code in native form on the forum for all to see, and potentially use.

Best practice would be to remove all references from your script that references things you are not allowed to distribute and eliminate the need for them completely to reproduce this report.

The setting that I have tried are;

ES ##-##
Data series type = day
time frame from 01/01/1980

The rest of the settings are left as default.
