Equity graph

This a noob question but I can't find how to do this: how can I have a graph of my daily/weekly/monthly equity(PnL)? I can see in the account performance that there are some available graphs there but nothing that shows the trade by trade equity cumulative PnL over a certain period of time...

Any help or pointer appreciated!

You can cycle through the drop down and choose a graph showing the information you want. If you want it daily/weekly/monthly you can use the respective Net Profit charts with those break downs. If you want it trade by trade you can try the "Trades Profit/Loss" chart. For your equity curve you can see the cumulative profit chart and switch it to currency mode.

Josh, I tried all of these but unless I'm mistaking none of them shows the evolution of my cumulative PnL, ie equity curve, through the trading day...?

I'd like to have a visual of my DDs, peaks to valleys, etc... for today's trading.

The cumulative profit graph is an evolution of your PnL for your whole backtest period. If you want to investigate 1 day only you can run a backtest on one day only. If you are looking for this filtering on a broader backtest time frame unfortunately it is not available.

I tried that, ie : Account Performance, generated today's trades, then in the Graphs tab I selected "Trade Profit/loss". What it does is plotting the value of each trade but not the cumulative value of my equity trade after trade.

What I would like to have is a curve that goes from 0 to XXX showing the evolution of the cumulative PnL trade after trade. If that makes sense.

What you are looking for is shown in the "Cumulative Profit" graph, not the "Trade Profit/Loss" graph.

Cumulative Profit shows a straight line with just the profit, not the "peak and valley" equity curve (losses&wins) I'm looking for...

If you only have one day, then yes it is a straight line. You need to view multiple days for a curve to actually be built.

Ok. So what would be the easiest way to obtain the trade by trade equity curve? export the trades from NT to excel?

Unfortunately NT does not come with such a graph at that granularity level by default. You could do it that way, yes.

On another note can you confirm that with Advanatge/TT I can only retrieve the current day of trades data? I tried selecting a date prior to today but the generated information always returns today's perfomance report.

If your prior days trades were taken from within NT, NT will be able to report those. To add old executions to NT's database you can use the "Add execution" feature in the executions tab to get your bookkeeping in sync. To do this just right click in the Control Center's Execution tab and select "Add".
