NinjaTrader 7.0.0.18 not starting

    NinjaTrader 7.0.0.18 not starting

    My NinjaTrader is not starting on my Windows 7 computer anymore.

    I was on .17 and it would not close, so I shutdown my computer, and then it would not start up. Also, before it would close I was having problems with a long delay in starting it.

    I then did an uninstall and downloaded the NT .18 ver and installed that but still no luck, the program will not start up.

    I see the Control Center, but then just a blue windows circle spinning but it will not load.

    Ok, it finally started now taking forever to connect to zenfire

        I disconnected, chose to save workspace waiting for the operation to complete, see if it does. Maybe the database needs to repaired and compacted, not sure how to do that on NT 7 assuming it ever finishes saving the workspace.

          Now it says Control Center not responding.

            islandwizard, you can delete the workspace files that are causing NinjaTrader to take a while to load from My Documents/NinjaTrader 7/workspaces.

            Once you get it started, you can reset the DB and compact it from Tools -> Options -> Data.

            Also, you may want to try restarting your computer to see if that helps.

              Looks like I am going to have to hard close it, maybe create a new workspace from scratch and recreate the charts if I can get it to work again.

                I already restarted the computer 3 times, I will try to do what you suggested, and report back.

                  After deleting the workspaces from the directory, it started real fast but now getting options not responding after I clicked on reset database

                    I think I am going to have to hard close it again, I will restart the computer, and then restart NT 7, and just try to connect to zenfire and create a chart.

                      Ok, got it running, recreated charts, everything is fast again starting and running charts, thanks about that deleting the workspaces, I think that was the problem
