    Time displacement

I've been looking at the v7 lately and have run into a problem with the charting. Candles on my FDAX charts are drawn 10 minutes too early. I tried different templates, with the current template being Eurex equity index futures, but no help with that. To show you what I mean, here's a pic taken at the time of posting...

    Hello pinballmad,

Please note that NinjaTrader time stamps its bars at the closing time. Currently it is 6:20 AM on my PC clock, however the current bar in my FDAX 09-10 15 minutes chart is listed at the time of 6:30 AM - this is as expected.

Thanks for the response Jason, but ether you didn't look at the chart properly or I'm a complete idiot. Please explain to me like I'm a 6 year old how can a 15 minutes chart or a 60 minutes chart, for that matter, be stamped at 13:50, 11:50 and so on??

        Hello pinballmad,

Your screenshot displays two time stamps on the X-axis for today. There are 8 bars between these two timestamps, so all is reflected as expected.

If you like to increase the amount of time stamps displayed in the X-axis, please click and hold the left mouse button below the X-axis and move left or right.

Please decompress the X-axis in order to display a time stamp for each bar. The more the X-axis is compressed, it will list less time stamps.

The problem is not in the amount of time stamps but the drawing of candles.... on the 60 min chart the candles close at 10 to, instead of closing on the full hour... as you can see in this chart from a moment ago, the candle closed at 14:50 and a new one is being drawn atm.

Ok, can you please select the 'Default 24/7' session template in the Data Series window. The time stamps should now be relfected on the hour.

Can you please tell me what session template you currently had selected.

That fixed things, thanks. I was using Eurex eq index futures before. Would 24/5 or 24/7 be more suited for FDAX?

I suspect the session template you had loaded uses x:50 as starting time, so it would time stamp each bar on x:50 when using a 60 minute interval.

The Default 24/5 and 24/7 templates will load all available data, since they use 12:00 AM and 12:00 AM as session start and end times per day.

If you like to include data outside the regular trading hours, I suggest to use the Default 24/5 and 24/7 templates.
