    Limited Data loading on ES ##-##

    I can only get a daily chart of ES ##-## to load back to April 1, 2009 no matter how many days beyond 4-1-2009 I input into the data series.

      Sorry I forgot to mention that Kyle, I use Zenfire as primary and eSignal as secondary.

        Hi DeskTroll,

        Thanks for the clarification.

        When using the Zen-Fire connection as the primary, this is as far back as historical daily data will be available.

        With that said, you should be able to load far more data when using eSignal as your primary connection.

          Kyle, I thought that NT would select which ever data stream it needed to load the requested data ie: if the primary didn't have the historical data available it would look to the secondary data provider ? It seems using 6.5 I was able to get several years of data without changing the primary to eSignal.

            DeskTroll,

            The fail over occurs only when a provider does not have a class of instruments available.

            For instance, with your current connection order, if you were to try to load a chart of AAPL the request would be passed to eSignal due to Zen-Fire offering futures data only.

              Hi there - If I understand it correctly, however, it is possible to load the data on one particular instrument for the first time using the feed that has the longest history so that it gets saved into the NT historical database and then switch to your preferred datafeed option from that on.

              That way you, I think, would get ES ##-## data from eSignal for any bars before Apr-2009 and from Zenfire from that point onwards. If someone from NT Support could confirm this please? Sorry if my explanation was wrong.
