    Candlestick overlap

The 5-minute candles have some annoying overlap.

I have run into this problem from time to time, but it was usually remedied by ensuring all the data series were referencing identical sessions or I could fix it by stretching/consolidating the x axis. Neither of these are working this morning.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

    Hello Day Trading Fool,

    Thank you for your post.

The overlapping in panel 1 is due to bar width. To decrease bar width, select the series in panel 1, then use the keyboard shortcut ALT + UP ARROW.

I tried to change the bar width - using the data series property. Doesn't help. The candles persist in overlapping.

I noticed that the 5 and 15 minute candles show the correct session independently (yesterday was a holiday), but when I add the 15 minute to the 5 minute, they both show an empty day.

        Hello Day Trading Fool,

1.) If Bar Width did not do the trick, you will need to left click in the time axis and expand the bars to a point where there is some space between the 5 minute bars.

2.) When using multi-series charts, this can be expected due to equidistant bar spacing settings.

hmm - like I mentioned, this usually fixes things, but not this morning.

Also - having a very strange problem - see attached.

Chart is showing CTRP, but y-axis and chart trader is still related to previous selection (PCX).

I placed an order and the order went thru for pcx....

Correction: y-axis is ok, only chart trader stuck on last selection.

            Day Trading Fool,

1.) What occurs when you attempt to adjust the compression of this axis?

2.) This could indicate a workspace related issue.
Please open a new workspace, then attempt to replicate this behavior. Do you receive the same result?

Ok - it works if I move the axis far enough such that yesterday is not displayed on the chart. If the prior days is displayed (the empty out of session holiday) then the candles get larger or smaller and are always overlapped.
