    Version 7.0.0.18 ERROR

    There are a number of error in this new release that make it usless.
    Strategy Analyzer will not display Chart. You get an error saying that NJ needs to terminate yet there is no error in the log.
    Backtests that ran in seconds now run in hours.

    Is there any way to back up to version 7.0.0.17. It atleast worked.

    Hello GuyFB,

    Unfortunately beta version 17 is not available anymore. Can you please post your latest log and trace files, so we can investigate what issues you experience. You can find log and trace files at the following locations.

    Start Menu--> My Documents--> NinjaTrader 7--> Log--> log.20100704 for today. (log.yyyymmdd for any other date)

    Start Menu--> My Documents--> NinjaTrader 7--> Trace--> trace.20100704 for today. (trace.yyyymmdd for any other date)

      if you "happy" with 7.0.0.17 stay away from .18

      .18 upgrade broke our code... I am dealing with help as well however not happy at all so far...
      The code now we are getting errors had no problems with previous versions of NT 7 including .17 now we are getting an object not referenced error...

      We need to revert back to .17

        Hello atata,

        Could you please post the code that does not work anymore and generates an error.

        Please tell me when the error occurs - does it occur as soon as you apply the indicator/strategy in a chart or somewhere else?

          Jason, I have a ticket open with Jason Hilling. Ticket number: 337221
          Basically, compile does not report any error, on the output window I have a truncated error message without the line where the error is.
          On VS 2008 I get the line number as well where the error occurs, which does not make any sense since we had the same code for quite sometime and was working fine with previous versions of NT 7 including .17

              Install error

              I thought that I followed all the instructions on upgrading to nt7-18, but I am getting this error on start-up. I have tried everything I know of to get this to work and am ready to do a fresh install of windows. If anyone has any suggestions before I do so i would greatly appreciate it. here is the error message

                Can you please proceed as per the instructions outlined at the link below.


                The error indicates you likely have an outdated version of SQL installed.

                In addition, please start a new thread in the future.

                    Good to hear it worked.

                    Once you clicked a topic on the main page of the forum, you will see a 'New Thread' button in the upper left corner to start a new thread.
