    ruler using more timeframe

If I use more timeframe (10 and 30 min) on the same chart and I want to place an indicator on the 10 min timeframe using 30 min dataseries. after then the ruler doesen't tend corretly to measure the distance.

    Hello marotom,

I tested it on my end, but the Ruler tool displays information as expected, see screenshot.

Does the issue occur consistenty on your end? If so, please tell me what steps you perform that result in the issue.

      Hello Jason,

I attached two picture to this what I think of. on the first picture I can measure the distance between the two lines. if I move the 30 min EMA on the 10 min chart, I can't able to measure the same distance this way. the other way to measure it if I select an dataseries object first on the 10 min chart, and so do it. in the first case the dataseries, how I recognise will select automatically.

      thanks.

        Hello marotom,

I think I understand what you mean. I am able to reproduce the following issue.
        • Create a chart with two data series.
        • Apply an EMA in the second data series and draw a Ruler object in the first data series.
        • Move the EMA on the first data series
You will now not be able to draw new Ruler objects in panel 1.

Am I correct this is the issue you describe? Thank you for reporting - I will forward these findings to Development to further troubleshoot the issue.

I suggest to select the data series in panel 1 before drawing another Ruler object in this scenario for now.

          Hello marotom,

The behavior reported in my previous response is as expected.

When using multiple data series objects in one panel (price bars and EMA), you will need to select the series object you like the Ruler to be applied on. Subsequently you can draw the object as you like.
