    Reload

    Hi,
    In the following scenario:

I have a chart on with 95 days of intraday data.
The application is not connected onto the data provider.

I make a change in the chart settings to 100 days
I press Reload. The Historical data for these 100 days are erased.

    Is this expected behavior?

    Thanks

    Hello,

Thank you for your forum post.

When you say you click reload what specific button are you pressing. As reload historical data should not be avaliable if you are not connected to a data feed provider.

Changing a chart on my side not connected from a 5 days back to 10 days back does not cause the data to disappear, only the data that is avaliable is displayed.

Also, what version of NinjaTrader 7 are you running?

        trend,

Please upgrade to B18 first. Thank you.

When you are not connected to any data feed Ctrl+Shift+R is not available. Please clarify are you connected to something else? If you are connected to a feed that doesn't support your instrument, but you reload it would behave the way you saw. There is nothing to reload from the data provider.

          Hi Josh,
          I upgraded to vs 18.
I have tested on several contracts.
The problem on Reload (when not connected) appears on a contract that I have created.

I designated an LME forward contract as a currency (eSignal: AHD M3-LME / Default Exchange). Note, that NT does not list the LME exchange (London Metals) in the exchange depository.

For this one when you Reload on a chart and while disconnected, the data in the Historical Manager and for the date Range in the chart disappear,

is there any workaround on this? Maybe you can include LME? Base metals
(aluminum, copper, lead, nickel, zinc) trade there. eSignal designations are as above
(CAD M3-LME for example for copper).

          Thanks,

            Hello,

            Thank you for your note.

Reload should not be possible when you are not connected. When you are disconnected from all data sources and you right click on the chart of your custom mapped symbol with data currently in the chart and you right click on the chart is reload historical data available. If so please click it and see if the same issue persists.

If it does please send a note through the programs Control Center->Help->Mail To support and put ATTN: Brett in the subject line and reference this form post and attach your database, workspace, and log and trace files so that I may analyze this.

Thank You and I look forward to assisting you further.

              Tried it. Looks OK.
              Reload is grayed out.
Pressed CTRL+SHIFT+R nthg happened, the data shows OK inthe HDM

              Thanks,
