where are session templates saved?

Yesterday I had to rebuild my NT templates and workspaces because my backup got corrupted.

I've realized this morning that the 2 custom session templates that I created are not in the current version of Beta 18 that I'm running.

I've got the old my documents/ninja folder saved to my desktop from when I was running Beta 17. I'm hoping that session templates are saved in a folder somewhere and I can go grab them and copy them into the current folder (whatever folder they should be in). However, I haven't been able to locate them.

Please advise.

Thank you for your post.

Custom Session Templates are saved within your database file which can be found by going to Documents-->NinjaTrader 7-->db folder-->NInjaTrader.sdf.

Is that sdf file only the session templates?
Is it safe to move it from my old folder to the new one?

In order to transfer this file I suggest creating a backup of the Database on your old PC then moving this backup file to the new PC and restoring NinjaTrader.

That sounds iffy... NT7 is still flaky... don't trust it

I see I thought you were referring to Session templates. If you want to move chart templates these files will be located in Documents-->NinjaTrader 7-->Templates-->Chart. You can copy these files and move them to the other PC. Just be sure you have copied them in the same folder on the new PC.

Please clarify what exactly you feel is flaky? Thank you. Session templates are saved in the database. If you want to transfer it around, you need to backup/restore the database. Chart templates are saved in templates. You would need to backup/restore the templates for those.
