    NT 7.0.0.17 Chart Trader Misreports P&L

    Hi,

    Not sure if this has already been reported but I have noticed when using Chart trader it misreports the P&L. Here's a summary of the info;

    * I have the Chart Trader properties set to report P&L as TICKS.
    * I enter orders using the SuperDOM
    * Chart Trader misreports the tick count. For instance with the ES I will be up 0.75 ticks and it will report I am - 10.00. Sometimes it will get stuck at this number like it is frozen.
    * My profit target and stop loss orders entered in the SuperDOM display correctly on the chart trader however.

    Thank you for your forum post.

    Please do the following before we look further into this error.

    Can you please upgrade to the latest version of the beta version 18 and if these are trades placed to the Sim account can you please reset the Sim account these trades where placed too.

    Resetting a simulation account will clear all historical trade data from this account. Please follow the instructions below to reset a simulation account.
    From the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Options
    Select the "Simulator" tab
    Press the "Reset" button


    Then let me know if the issue persists on the newest beta. If it does please send a note to using the Mail To Support feature in the Control Center to send your trace and log files to support and reference this forum post and please let us know the time the trade occured that caused this to happen.

      Hi - Ok have followed the steps you have outlined. Will send in the report if I notice the behavior again. Just FYI it was all in my live account not SIM but I have reset SIM Account as asked.

        Hello,

        Please send the log and trace files if this was a live account. My suspicion was that you had a stuck order in your Sim account that could cause this however if this was a live account we would like to look into the logs on this.

        Please use the instructions in my first post to send us your log and trace files and please let us know what date and time this occured so that we may look into this further.

            Hello,

            Thanks for sending that in.

            I dont see anything out of the ordinary in your log files. Can you replicate this on the Sim 101 account? If so can you post a screenshot of when this occurs of both your superDOM and your chart trader PnL. Or can you send your phone number to support at ninjatrader dot com attn: Brett so that I may call you and see what is happening on your PC remotely.

                Hello,

                Ok. We will look into. Also, have you upgraded to Beta 18 that released last week? If so please do this, goto Control Center->Help->Download Site to download the newest beta version.

                    Hi Brett - It happened again tonight when I was trading the SPI. I was not attaching a shadow strategy. I will email in the screenshot and the log files to your attention.

                      Also forgot to mention that Chart Trader P&L when I expand the sidebar reports correctly. It is just the P&L number on the actual chart that is incorrect. Tonight it was stuck completely at -4 and did not move no matter what price was doing. (see screenshot I emailed in).

                        Unfortunately Brett is not in this week. Can you please provide the ticket number you sent the email with the screenshot into as? Or if you could attach it here into one of your posts it would work best. Thank you.

                          Hi - That's not a problem. I already got an email from another support person at Ninja letting me know he was on vacation and I said the case is not urgent it can wait no worries. Thanks
