Days back set to 1 but I get 3 days

I set my days to 1 cause I want only the current day and it displays 3 days. This makes my chart bigger & slower.

I have tested this on my end and was able to load only 1 day when Days back was set to 1. Please open a new chart with no template or indicators applied with Days back set to 1 and let me know if the issue persists. If you are still unable to load only 1 day please let me know what version of NinjaTrader you currently have installed which can be found under Help-->About.

Try this:

make a chart showing 1 day data. btw the option for this is "load data" not show, which is an interesting choice of words.

now leave the chart open for a day. it'll still show the previous day.

in fact mine is showing three even though I have it set to one.

so it doesn't seem to be a problem with new charts but rather charts that are open for a day or more.

I hope that makes it more clear. It's a pain for me to shut down and reopen (takes a while, I have 10 charts) so I just leave it running until I have to restart, which for 6.5 was quite often due to getting slow & freezing & crashing. with 7 it seems very stable and uses only 250meg memory. that's a great improvement!

This is expected behavior within NinjaTrader. When a chart is left open it will continue to build data within the window and will not drop off previous built bars outside your Days back parameter.

What you may do is right mouse click within your chart and select Reload all historical data.
