Renko chart lookback limitation

Is there a limitation to Data (Days to Load) for Renko charts?

Using YM ##-## 20 Bricks I am able to access 120 days max of data. Anything more than that NT 7 does not include on the chart, regardless of the number in the 'Days to Load' field or setting or custom range.

Using minute data (15 minute etc), I can go back 6 months with no problems. The same thing occurs with ES ##-##.

Also, the amount of data loaded seems to decrease if the number of Renko bricks is increased to a large number, say 120 bricks for the YM.

Thank you for your forum post.

I believe that Renko charts use TICK data to build their bars. Therefor please check to see how many days back for a tick chart of the instrument you can get back and see if this lines up with what you can for the Renko chart.

Yes, the tick chart days back is the same as the Renko, so that makes sense. Thanks.
