Bug when using two data feeds

I connect to IQFeed first and then Zen-Fire. I want my data from IQFeed and I want to trade with Zen-Fire.

I went short ES at 10.75 and had stop at 10 ticks. I move my stop and price hits my former stop level and I hear an audio about my stop being filled. And on the chart I see the markers. But I'm still in my position with 2. I exited the trade and I logged on to my broker and it appears the trades were right (thank god).

now I disconnect from IQFeed and the trades are are listed like this in the performance:



So it counted my entry twice and when I moved my stop it didn't move it for the test account. I never did any trade on test, it was all real..

I noticed it happened on a crude trade too. after I disconnected IQFeed, it didn't happen on the next trade..

Thanks for sending in the log files.

I did not find any errors with NinjaTrader.It looks like you were running a shadow strategy on the Test account when the live order was submitted. When a live order is submitted a Shadow strategy is submitted to the Test account. This is why you heard the stop filled message at your original stop point since the stop the was filled was the one that was submitted to the Test sim account and was the stop filled for simulation. Wheras your real trades stop was still active and was not filled at that time. I do not know of any way to disable to stop filled sound for Shadow Strategies.

I have sent you the analysis of what occured to your email. Not sure if you intended to use a shadow strategy with your ATM Strategy or not.

Thanks for the quick turnaround & the analysis. I didn't know what a shadow strategy is. I would think this would be disabled by default since it didn't exist in 6.5 but I will disable it. Thanks. Now I can use IQFeed again!

No problem, a shadow strategy isn't applied unless you set it up in the ATM Strategy. So somehow you may have accidentally enabled it.

This keeps getting accidently enabled. Since it's hidden I don't know how or why until I see an extra trade. And then I can't get rid of that trade.

Would it be possible to identify the shadow trades some how in the account performance so that I can filter them out? As it is once it's in there I can't get rid of it.

It has been enabled on accident 3 different days now.

Is it possible this has been saved as part of the workspace. Please check to make sure this remains off. Please uncheck, save your workspace and then restart NinjaTrader and check to make sure this stays off and we do not have any issues here.

I confirm that this is a bug. I turn off the shadow, save my workspace, exit & restart ninja. Load the workspace and the shadow is turned on again. The setting doesn't appear to be saved with the workspace. And I'm 100% I never turned it on to begin with since I didn't even know it exists and I never have the advanced options showing, so that's a potential issue as well.

Can you confirm on your end? I'm using beta 16.

I misspoke. This is actually saved as part of the ATM Strategy and not the workspace. Please set Shadow strategy to None and then right click on the superDOM and select Manage ATM templates and then save the ATM template. Now you should be able to restart NinjaTrader and have the shadow strategy remain off for that ATM Strategy. You would need to do this for all ATM Strategies that are doing this.

Also, I would recommend upgrading your version of beta. We are on beta 18 now and there are hundreds of fixes and updates since your release.

I can confirm there is a bug here, the shadow strategy is activated each time I restart ninja, despite me saving each strategy with it turned off.

In this case can you please send a mail to support from the platform by going to Control Center->Help->Mail to support. Send a message to support with ATTN: Brett in the subject line and reference this forum post.

Then attach your database->Trace and Logs->Workspaces->Templates so that I may duplicate your setup on my side and look into this issue as I am unable to duplicate on my side with enabling a shadow strategy.
