    Please setup SGD currency

    hi,
A number of us, professionals on SGX can trade the MSCI Singapore Futures via Patsystems or TT.

But we are unable to use ninjaTrader to trade the contract because SGD currency is not setup.
It seems silly that we are hampered by such a simple matter.

Could you guys set up the currency by default ?... IF not at least provide instructions on how we can set it up on our own.

    Thanks

I'd like to second that, and add adding the SGX DT instruments to the default instrument list... or at least the main contracts. The N225 contract can be cross settled between the SGX and CME and is important.

Second largest volume is on the SGX-listed Taiwan (TiMSCI) contract, followed by the SiMSCI contract.

A SGX-DT member who is a Ninja/PATS user did a presentation recently at the Exchange to other trading members about Ninja, and there is a lot of interest here, particularly with the PATS crowd.

      Hi aljafp and MXASJ,

      Thank you for your post.

Please follow the instructions below to add an instrument in the Instrument Manager.
      • From the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Instrument Manager
      • Press the "New" button
      • *Enter in instrument specific information and select the appropriate exchange (add Default exchange for equities in addition to the actual exchange)
      • Fill in any relevant information under the "Misc" tab such as symbol mapping for your target connectivty provider
      • Press the "OK" button

      * If you wish to add an equity, this can be accomplished without following the steps above. Just open a chart (for example) and start typing in the symbol and a new instrument is automatically created.
The instrument is now added to the master instrument list. Please follow the instructions below if you want to add this instrument to an instrument list.
      • Select the instrument list you wish to add the instrument to via the "Instrument lists" drop down list in the upper left hand corner
      • Select the exchange (Default recommend for equities) as this will route orders to your broker smart routing system
      • Select the appropriate expiration date if this is a futures instrument
      • Press the "<" button to add the instrument to the list

You are now complete and can press the "OK" button.

I have also forwarded this suggestion to development to include this instrument within the Instrument Manager database so that in the future it would not be necessary to create the instrument, but only to add it to an instrument list.

Please read both our previous posts CAREFULLY.
We KNOW how to setup instruments in NinjaTrader.

BUT We are UNABLE to add the contract into NinjaTrader now because SGD currency is NOT SETUP by NinjaTrader.
